Hi everyone! I hope you enjoyed our trip to the Brooklyn Museum. Encolsed is a presentation with some of the works we viewed during our visit and discussed either before our trip or in the museum. Please use this as a reference in completing your zine. 

If there was a piece not included in the prersentation, that you enjoyed and want to include in your zine, please look at the Brooklyn Museum website (with your parents) to locate the artwork and name.

These zines will be copied and used by students in other classes to use when they go to the Brooklyn Museum. Give them suggestions and share your opinions on all your favorite places, artists, and pieces.

I will collect all zines in person on Tuesday at 8:30am.

Those Shoes by Maribeth Boelts

After reading  by Maribeth Boelts, we talked about Jeremy and how badly he wanted the shoes everyone else had. Even though he wanted them so much, he learned an important lesson about what really matters.

Zuni and The Memory Jar by Aisha Saeed

2. Discuss Memories at PS 127
3.After reading , think about how Zuni learns to keep and share her special memories. Now, connect this to your own life at PS 127. Write one well-organized paragraph explaining a special memory you have from PS 127 and why it is meaningful to you. Then, explain how your memory connects to Zuni’s story. For example, you might write about a time you felt proud, happy, or loved at school, just like Zuni felt when she remembered her special moments.

3. Page 2 How was your Summer? Include proper grammar and punctuation you can complete a draft on looseleaf if you would like me to check your work. Talk about 2 fun things you did this summer.
4 List 2 goals that you have this year and one thing you will do to achieve each of these goals for this year.
5. Complete the All About Me.
6. Color and cut out the phone and then you can glue the tabs together to complete your cellphone. 
7. Put my name on the left-hand corner of each of the phone papers.
8. Use this checklist to guide you and the rubric to guide you throughout the assignment.
9. Hand in your paper.

You have to create a Cover for the yearbook. On 8 1/2 by 11 paper in a vertical direction.

There needs to be a theme for the school;l follow the examples and be creative.
